Episodes 27, 28 and 29 are three parts of the same story. The Dark is after the plans for a new conscience circuit it's afraid Jiro might get (but actually he doesn't want it). At the end of episode 28 not only are Jiro and Mitsuko still looking for Dr Komyoji, but now Masaru has ran away. And Sponge Green is right behind him.

Sponge Green's human form

Sponge Green's human form (episodes 28 & 29) was played by Ushio, Kenji; better known as Hell Ambassador in Kamen Rider. My thanks to Arthur David for this information.
