Asou, Masaru (Tsuchikado, Hiroshi) was assistant to Dr. Mochizuki (Sasaki, Isao), who against his will experimented on him. The experiment turned Asou, Masaru into the grasshopper-man cyborg, Kamen Rider ZO. Horrified at what he had become Asou, Masaru fled to woods where he hibernated until a telepathic call for help woke him, Dr. Mochizuki's son Hiroshi was in danger.
In his first film Kamen Rider ZO does not name his punches and kicks, however in his second film he uses "Rider Kick".
Although the name was never mentioned in the film his motorcycle is named Z Bringer.
Kamen Rider Z0 fought monsters created by the Neo Organism.
Kamen Rider ZO was played by stuntman/actor Okamoto, Jiro.
