Episode 23: My Home Is Earth
(featuring Metamorphic Monster Jamilar)
The International Peace Conference is to take place in Tokyo, but planes and boats carrying delegates to the conference keep being destroyed in unexplained "accidents". This time a man from Paris, HQ is sent to Japan to try to solve this problem. His name is Alan. (Dont you just love all these French people with very American names). Whe a police car chasing a hit and run driver reports that the car they were chasing seemed to run into an invisble wall, the man from Paris thinks its connected to the crashed planes and sunken ships. The SSSP car hits an invisible wall. Ide and Fuji in a Jet VOTL detect on radar a rocket that is invible to the naked eye. Ide cannot shoot the rocket down because he cannot see it. So he sets out to invent something to make invisible targets visible. He comes up with an Alpha, Beta and Gamma ray guns each have a different effect on the light spectrum so together they should make the invisible visible. It works, tracking the ship with radar than firing all 3 beams at the same point makes it visible. And they shoot it out of the sky. But the ships occupant surives and becomes a giant monster. Despite its size it manages to hide from the SSSP in the dark. During the night Alan claims that the monster is actually an anstronaut name Jamila who was sent it space by an unnamed country (France obviously) during the space race between US and Russia but vanished and the unnamed country didnt want to admit they sent a man into space before Russia or the US but lost him. This man's rocket crashed on another planet and living thier for decades changed him.
The next morning the fire breathing Jamilar goes on a rampage destroying a village. Ultraman is forced to kill him, by spraying him with water. Apparently the planet that mutated him had no water so water was toxic to him, it basically disolved him. But since he was human mutated into a monster through no fault of his own a memorial plaque was dedicated in his memory by the SSSP.
