Ultraman Ace Episode 8

Episode 8: The Life of the Sun Is the Life of Ace
(featuring Terrible-Monster Doragory, Alien Metron Jr, Monster Muruchi)

Ace vs 3 monsters

This episode picks up where the previous episode ended. Ace is in trouble! Kaiju (monster native to Earth) to the left, alien behind him, Terrible-Monster to the right. When Muruchi attempts to charge him. Ace manages to jump out of the way causing the Earth monster to crash into the Terrible-Monster Doragory, which is apparently the least inteliigent of the three as it does not recognise that the enemy of my enemy is my friend but attacks and kills Muruchi. Even so Ace's Color Timer is flashing. Hokuto, Seiji is heard speaking to Minami, Yuko; she does not reply. He says the have to use "Ace Barrie" and he asks her to "hang in there". (in the previous episode he was concerned that using "Ace Barrier" drains so much of Ace's energy that it could kill one of his human hosts and last time it was used Minami, Yuko colapsed after the battle.) Ace uses "Ace Barrier' to send both Alien Metron Jr and Terrible-Monster Doragory to the Alternate Dimension. Ace vanishes. The other members of TAC find Hokuto, Seiji holding a "badly injured" Minami, Yuko (she did eject from her jet in the previous episode so he could pretend she hit the ground hard). She is taken to the hospital. The doctor tells Hokuto her heart has been weakened, she's in danger. The rogue planet Goran is now three days from Earth and if the monsters destroy the secod rocket Earth is doomed. Hokuto is angry at himself because the "Ace Barrier' will only hold the monsters back one day so he feels he endangeed her live for nothing. She points out Ace would have been defeated if he hadn't. A sphere containing Alien Metron Jr appears in the sky. Yamanaka wanting vengence for the murder of his fiancee wants to attack but Captain Ryu says "No need to wake a sleeping lion" and orders Hokuto and Yoshimura to keep on eye on it. After the captain has left, Yamanaka taunts Konno into agreeing to help hilm bomb the Alien Meltron against orders, accusing Konno of cowardice and justifying the attack by claiming it will help Ultraman Ace. But one of Ultraman Ace's host is against waking the sleeping lion like the captain and the other is no shape to fight. Of course Yamanaka doens't know that and it wouldn't matter if he did, he's motivated by hatred and the thirst for vengeance (not jusice). At first shooting at the sphere seems to have no effect, but eventually the sphere shatters releasing and awakening Alien Metron and which point Hokuto breaks orders to try to shot at from the ground. TAC Panther and the TAC Arrow are both destroyed, Yamanaka and Konno eject safelty. Yoshimura had left the car (apparently) or he'd have been killed. The alien vanishes. Captain Ryu is disappointed in his men. He ordered them not to attack because aslong as the alien was in hibernation it was no threat to the rocket being built. Hokuto tries to defend Yamanaka seeking vengeance but Captin Ryu sayes acting on peronal motives is shameful and Yamanaka says he takes full resposnability and will take suspension or termination. This only angers the captain who says they are already down one and they need all the help they can get, that asking to be fired is shelfish. At that moment the hospital reports Minami is critical, near death.. Goran is closer and strange ground tremors are reported. Hokuto is ordered to stay with Minami because "only you can bring her back" Talk to her and encourage her". Once the others have left Minami begs Hokuto to "take me with you" she wants to fight even if kills her.

Goran's approach is affecting the gravitational balance between the Earth and the moon, creating massive storms and tidal waves (in reality it would probably rip both planets apart). The rocket is 30 minutes away from completion. This would be the worst possible moment for a Terrible-Monster to appear, so Terrible-Monster Doragory does. The rocket is ready! So of coure Alien Metron Jr reappears. Minami can barely stand, Hokuto has to hold her up. The captain says he and Mikawa will deal with the alien. Yamanaka, Konno, Yoshimura are to deal with the Terrible-Monster. They don't know Hokuto and Minami are in the area too. Minami collapses. Hokuto tries to shoot at the monsters. Minami rallies and tries to drag herself to him. The Ultra Rings flash, he hurls himself at her. As Ace holds back the Terrible-Monster, the rocket launches. The alien just stands there until after the rocket is launched then both monsters attack Ace who is at half power with one of his hosts so badly injured. TAC realising Ace is in trouble but not knowing why give him covering firing allowing Ace to slice Alien Metron Jr in half. This drains is energy even further. His Color Timer goes out! Ace colapses. The rocket hits Goran plasting into space dust. The energey from the explosion is absorbed by Ace he raises to defeat Doragory. He actually punches a hole in the monster before creating the Ace Blade katana sword to slice off its head before blasting its body with his Metallium Ray. Hokuto appears with a totally healed Minami he claims the sun healed her and the others just accept that.

Terrible-Monster Doragory was created by Yapool by merging a month from Earth and a space monster, Alien Metron was first introduced in Ultra Seven (episode 8), Monster Muruchi was first introduced in Return of Ultraman (episode 33)
