The oil shortage of the 1970s even effected Shadow. To keep Shadow
operating without oil Zadam created robots which used sea water as an
energy source, the Aqualung Men. They were stronger than the Shadow Men
but ran out of energy quickly. Aqualung Men had an energy weapon on
their black hands.
