Jiro
Though Jiro ("second son") appears human "he" is in fact an android
bult by robotics expert Doctor Komyoji,
who has been kidnapped by the Dark Destruction Corps, a terrorist
orginization lead by the evil Professor
Gill.
Jiro was created to destroy the Dark Destruction Corps. To fight the
DCC's robotic monster's Jiro transforms into Kikaida, the mechianical
man (Kikai means machine).
Jiro has one weakness, his conscience circuit is incomplete and
whenever Professor Gill plays his flute (which causes all DCC robots to
become more aggressive) Jiro becomes violent. Under the domination of
this flute Jiro will turn against his friends. However, if Jiro can
find some way to block the sound of the flute he can transform into
Kikaida, the flute has no power over Kikaida. Jiro's conscience circuit
could be completed by Dr Komoyoji's daughter, Mitsuko,
but he won't let her, because "My heart is a motor and my brain is a
computer. I don't want you to see that."
When Jiro rescues whoever the Dark is attacking he almost always
anounces his presence by playing his guitar, the sound of which annoys
the agents of the Dark.
Jiro Changing Into Kikaida
There are electromagnetic bands on both of Jiro's wrists. Contacting
the auxilary computer on both his shoulders releases the energy need
for Jiro to transform into his battle form, Kikaida.
